Graduated from CMC, achieving 5th position in order of merit under Chittagong University in the year 1980. He was student of 1st batch D.Card, under Dhaka University and secured 1st position in order of merit. He successfully completed MCPS (Medicine) and MD (Card) in the year 1987 and 1991 respectively. He attended, participated and presented scientific papers with appreciation in different national and international seminars.
During long period of service he worked in NICVD (Dhaka), MMCH and finally in CMCH as Associate Prof and HOD cardiology.
He was founder Prof. of Medicine cum Principal Southern Medical College and Hospital.
